When designing web sites, I use various techniques to intensify Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In other words, if your site is designed optimally, search engines will be able to organically locate your site based on the keywords and headings strategically placed in your site. This gives you the edge when potential customers are searching the web for your products and/or services.
There are additional marketing products out there that you can purchase, but great SEO is a “standard feature” of my web design packages. I also submit your site to the major search engines which will jump-start the organic process.
Another consideration I take into account is the accessibility of your site to the various browsers used today. With numerous hand-held devices searching the web, you want your information to be visible to the hand-held user. Many of the hand-held devices do not support flash technology. We wouldn't want the nuts and bolts of your site displayed using flash technology if it cannot be utilized by your site visitors. Flash is an amazing, eye-catching tool, but it should be strategically placed or there should be an alternative site built to accommodate this growing group of users. If you are in the hotel business, for example, you would not want a business traveler or tired driver to land on your site via their mobile device and find the phone number to reserve a room is embedded in a flash feature.
I design sites with the new, updated and standards-compliant technique of CSS layouts versus the old, table-based layouts. Small hand-held screens have a hard time digesting table-based layouts and typically, users will find the information jumbled in an order that does not reflect the intended presentation. I design all sites to meet the current web standards, ensuring your site is top-notch and presented well in all browsers.
